Thanks again for all of the help so far. I went across the street and played after our lesson this past Saturday – and I would say the improvements so far are fantastic.

The last time I golfed I shot mid 50’s for 9…..I shot a 44 Saturday! No mulligans….and even more so – I am usually a very good putter – I missed 3 par putts inside of 5 feet…so I really hit the ball well tee to green.

Regards,

Tim

It's with great pleasure that I write to you to acknowledge Tony Simpson, the newly retained Instructor of Golf at the Chi Chi driving range.

As a long-time golfer, I've taken lessons from many professionals - from those in country clubs and in public golf courses. Nowhere have I experienced the delightful rapport and professional teaching skills that Tony brings to each and every lesson.

His energy is unending. Tony has given me more golf instruction than I contracted for - in hands-on lessons and in the classroom. That should tell you as much about how dedicated Tony is as it does about how much I need the lessons.

I signed up for four lessons and have taken two. Already I have a renewed spirit of confidence as I develop the swing drills Tony has given me. I am able to take home with me his simple and direct instructions and practice independently to accelerate my learning.

What more can I say? What more can anyone want in a teaching professional? Thanks for having the foresight to select Tony for your already outstanding staff.

Sincerely,
Leslie

Awesome tip! I'm only 5'7 and been having troubles with my putting stroke to close to my body tends to get my hands in involved and not my shoulders! Will try this and will get back to you about how it went!

So 5 stars for this tip. Played today and man did it make a huge difference. It made me feel I was using my shoulders and not my hands. Usually I will put between 40-45 putts a round not today 33 putts not to shabby at all. Thanks for the great tip!

 Dear Mr. Poulter,

My husband and I decided to take golf lessons while visiting with family. We have never golfed before and weren’t sure if “it was for us”. I called a few places and as SOON as I spoke with Tony Simpson, I know that we would be taking lessons at Chi Chi’s. Tony was very responsive to my inquiries right from the start, unlike many I spoke to. His enthusiasm and eagerness showed through in just our initial contact – Choosing Chi Chi’s turned out to be a great decision!

We took a few lessons and followed it with 9 holes of golf with Tony – he was a GREAT teacher. My husband and I are very pleased with the lessons, progress and encouragement given to us. Golf was much harder than I envisioned! I can see where someone could become frustrated and not pursue the sport – Tony took away much of that frustration and replaced it with encouragement, support and patience!

As someone who skis and bowls (and have taken lessons in both) I know that “just because you are a great skier doesn’t mean you are a great teacher”. Tony seems to be gifted in both the sport and the ability to teach.

We left Florida feeling as though we made a friend and will be pursuing the sport as well. We wanted you to know how lucky you are to have an instructor such as Tony.

Warmest Regards,

Donna and Jim

The story begins with a phone call from a very nice young lady named Eun-Hee. Her parents were going to be visiting from Korea and wanted to learn to golf. As it turned out, her father, Mr. Han, had a very nice swing and appeared to be more experienced than I had thought initially. So at Mr. Han's request, the last three of the five lessons we had together were mainly with Mrs. Hong.

Mrs. Hong is a very delightful person and it was an enjoyable experience as she discovered the joys of golf despite neither of us understanding a word we were saying to each other. What we did share was lots of smiles, some high fives and a wonderful experience on her first round of golf. Congratulations to Mrs. Hong for doing so well and thank you to Mr. Han and Eun-Hee for choosing me as your instructor. - Tony Simpson, PGA
